Love is still in the air.. Well, it seems like it still is. Plus this picture has been like-d several times recently. So I decided to post it here. :) I didn’t have the chance to publish this on tumblr last year.

Around a year ago, February 14, 2011 to be exact.

Gene and I were celebrating our FIRST Valentine’s together :) We didn’t plan anything specific though, we just planned to have dinner that night. I have classes until 6pm that day. He picked me up at UST and we decided to go to Gateway and end up eating at Kangaroo Jack in Araneta Cubao. I gave Gene a gift (corkboard with pictures, I’ll post pictures if time permits haha) and he said that he’s sorry ‘cause he didn’t have anything for me. We went to DQ afterwards and he bought a single rose to at least make it up to me. He’s sorry because that’s the only thing that he can give to me.. After that, we went home already.

Honestly, I was disappointed. It was our first V-day together and he didn’t even prepare something for me. Not even a letter. Am I not THAT special to him? At least, I exerted much effort to give him something meaningful.

Upon arriving at home, we sat on the couch and he said:

“Bi ang baho mo na! Akyat ka muna, palit ka muna dun”

And I answered with an: “Okay.” I went upstairs, headed to my room to change.. And I saw this..

my room was filled red balloons with post-its. And 3 huge white balloons. And the bench was filled with 9 roses, pictures, chocolates (top deck and kitkat, my personal favorites) plus a white hanky with a letter on it. I was dumbfounded when I saw it. I didn’t really expect what he did.. I didn’t think that he can arrange something like that in my room without giving me any hint. I gave him a huge hug. I had teary eyes because of happiness. I was overwhelmed :’)

I asked him how he did it. He said after I went to school that morning, he went to our house. He gave my lola a rose and he told her if it’s okay to put a little surprise for me. :) It was really sweet, special, memorable and perfect. I can still feel the butterflies after a year. Heehee. Thanks baby. You’re the best I ever had. Best-est. :”>
